Leisha Newton is honoured to represent Curve Lake First Nation in her role as the Manager of Economic Development & Tourism. With over a decade of experience in economic development, coupled with a strong background in sales and marketing, Leisha brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her work, helping to foster growth and opportunity within the community.

Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, Leisha moved to Peterborough County eighteen years ago with her husband and son. She is deeply committed to supporting Curve Lake’s economic future by promoting sustainable development, tourism, and business growth, all while staying rooted in the community’s rich cultural heritage.

Leisha’s experience, combined with her dedication to her role, drives her to make a meaningful impact in the community and help build a brighter, more prosperous future for Curve Lake First Nation.

Meet Christine, Special Events & Tourism Coordinator in Curve Lake First Nation.

Christine brings over a decade of event planning experience to her role, where she creates memorable and impactful experiences for the community and it’s invited visitors. Originally from outside the area, Christine’s journey brought her to Curve Lake more than ten years ago. Now, alongside her partner and children, she is proud to call this community home.

Christine takes pride in showcasing Curve Lake’s beautiful rental properties, offering visitors a chance to experience the area’s unique charm. She is committed to promoting tourism in a way that respects the community and fosters a genuine connection to Curve Lake for every guest.
